nynfus corporation is the name of a crew of rising starts in the nu funk/ghetto funk scene. top class ghetto funk productions with an ethnic twist are what the 3 boys from budapest, hungary are all about. after doing release on the bombastic jamand bigm label the crew turned to bbp to drop their dopest release to date. the a-side gives us funky peak time ghetto pumpin jams, whiles the b-side shows us a little a of that ethnic/europeanstyles the boys do all so well. all 4 tunes are tested with party rockin guarantee, and they will surely be doing some major damage on the dancefloors this summer.

london producer george fitzgerald follows up silhouette, his 2011 debut on will sauls imprint aus music with a four track ep entitled child. with past releases on hotflush and his own imprint, manmakemusic, his productions combine the lush, melodic sides of house and garage with the more intense, jacking rhythms of dubstep and techno. his second ep for aus fully explores the 4/4 end of his production spectrum to devastating effect with four tracks that are all designed with the peak time dance floor in mind. keep your ears peeled for a remix ep of child in september featuring a mix of child by gerd under his jacking geeeman alias, alongside exciting young talent gerry reads interpretation of lights out. next up on aus is an ep from bicep with a remix from panoramabar resident steffi.

second vinyl installement on atmosphere and another proof that stereo express (shaker plates, pimprinella, ipoly music) is on a peak level. this time with support from stavroz we get two great originals in combination with remixes from umami (burlesque musique, audiolith) and mollono.bass (ostwind, acker).

steve bug drops a new outstanding 12inch on his own highly prolific poker flat recordings. those grooves is the perfect primer for his upcoming album (due out in autumn 2012), and sees the man in fine form - masterfully in control of his sound and producing tracks with a depth of dancefloor knowledge most other producers would die for. those grooves, the lead track locks into its exquisitely crafted groove early on, holding a taut balance between its individual elements. mid way through its 10 minutes, bug drops the tempo and lets the groove breath, before bringing it all back home - an audacious late night club weapon. the flip side is no less dramatic – tell me why creeps up, evolving slowing but surely – before an edgy, freaked out bass line drops over the crisp drums. a true peak time burner with enough energy and tension to smash any floor.

all three tracks are 100% peak time and dancefloor oriented sound. definitely a well done debut by raphael dincsoy & robin hirte.

following the jordan peak ep there is more pumping action on morris audio with its 80th release! young french producer julien sandre makes his full release debut on morris audio – great beats and sexy basslines are the key elements of the hypnotic js sound. and the remix of nico lahs (ovum, pokerflat) reminds us of some of these old killer svek releases. yeah, music wont stop!

for their sixth release, lets play house has headed down under to scoop up australias fantastic man, a second identity of dj/producer mic newman, with which the melbourne-based artist explores—and exposes—another side of his musical and stylistic skills. and the four original songs on the its essential ep most definitely mark a bit of a departure from newmans trademark sounds: he has exchanged the thumping, peak-hour, hands-in-the-air chaos and messiness of hits like 2009s >sizzled sally< for a more refined and subtle breed of deep house.

alden tyrell hooked up with mike dunn for some new work!. a golden combination which already worked out great as we learned from the heavy remix tyrell did for the murphy jax & mike dunn collaboration (its the music - cat# cjfd06). tyrell always jamming and playing around with his synths had some tracks inspired by early mike dunn songs. so the obvious happened ... the hooked up for some appropiate vocals and here it is ... touch the sky! a peak time acid monster with mikes vocal chant in the style of his classic md3 projects. gerd is on remix duty here and delivers a killer remix with a more traditional chicago groove and build up. clone head honcho serge had some studio time with tyrell for a dub mix. the serge & tyrell dub mix turned out a bit wild and became a classic piece of piano and dx bass driven chicago house music with stuttering vocal samples and a acidic synth line. another strong clone jack for daze!

>the musical styles on moon harbour inhouse vol. 4< range from the deep house of luna city express and ekkohaus to the reduced groovy tech house á la tini & marc antona, andy catana and boris werner and the floor fillers by reboot and dan drastic. in this sense the selection of tracks mirrors the current breadth of styles represented by the label in its 12th year. since the third inhouse compilation, a lot has happened at moon harbour. in addition to the releases of the albums hello from planet earth by luna city express (2009) and paradigm shift by martinez (2010), the tenth anniversary of the label was celebrated with gusto in 2010 complete with the compilation and club tour, ten years of moon harbour. the year 2010 also marked the birth of the monthly moon harbour radio show. luna city express and dan drastic have been taking turns producing this show, which has already had more than 25 editions.

we are very proud and honered to release this ep by function aka dave sumner from sandwell district. one of technos true underground heroes, function (dave sumner) has been djing and making music for over 15 years. hailing from new york, he was seduced by techno music when jeff mills held a residency (as well as his own first) at the limelight in the early 90s. dave started to produce music and from the mid-90s onwards, put out music on damon wilds synewave and his own infrastructure imprint. together with regis (karl o connor) he worked as portion reform, putting out uncompromising music on downwards and becoming the only non-birmingham producer to release on the label. in 2008 dave moved to berlin, still working with regis, and now silent servant (john mendez), put his focus on the acclaimed sandwell district imprint. obsessed is a supper powerfull floating track for the dancefloor, a typical function production. this ep also contains remixes from substance and scb aka scuba, both peak-time tracks.

makam – what ya doing: the hague based producer makam definitely didnt see jack play, simply because hes waaaay to young to be bragging about the history of house music. nevertheless mister guy blanken delivers a stunning anthem in the best of warehouse and music box traditions. keep those 909 rim shots coming please, but make way for the irresistible breakdown. makam – what ya doing (funkineven) more 909 sweetness comes from london based steven julien aka eglo-related vintage fetishist funkineven. while treating the original with respect, he adds some analogue acid dirt to it. in an everything but subtle way, that is. peak time stuff!

surplus ships is sort of an odd - beat based - vinyl version of pomassls spare parts album (raster noton 2009). with hints from his excellent skeleton material released by sabotage/laton/sex tags mania (1996-2007) his new mini-lp takes fragments of dubstep, techno, skwee, even oriental atonal melodies and merges it with pomassls signature industrial attitude and avant sense of compositions. enter the quality sonic world of pomassl.

following his release on peter van hoesens time to express late last year, sp-x drops his third ep for komisch. fans of >signal path experiments< and >field lines never end< will not be disappointed as the brussels - based producer serves up three more slices of uncompromising warehouse techno. lead track <the escape< has all the sp-x hallmarks - rock hard beats, thundering claps and a swinging groove that underpins eerie riffs and clanking metallic drums >stalker< reveals a more musical slant to sp-xs sound. it starts off with unsettling riffs, but soon the rolling drum-led arrangement changes tact and provides the backdrop for a growling chord climax. there is a similar concession on >attack pattern< bruising doubled-up drums and that unmistakably snappy sp-x percussion combine with subtle snare rolls to create a peak time arrangement. but once again an insistent chord sequence gives it the edge over functional techno. make sure to hunt this killer release down

thinking too much/where the helios is juk juks second release on nommos. thinking too much is the most direct juk juk release so far. its peak time fare, aimed squarely at the dancefloor. the dreamy intro will fool the unsuspecting, sucking them in and propelling them on a tripped out ride on a techno ghost train, buffered by a cushion of warm throbbing bass. where the helios is the real dream side. a floating, hallucinogenic, spaced out drift, driven by a crisp, pared back rhythm and a gorgeous, woozy vocal- led melody. juk juks first release for nommos was unwrap/fall and before that his debut, winter turn spring/frozen, was put out by kieran (four tet) hebden on his highly regarded text label. all juk juks output to date has been critically acclaimed, coverage including fact magazine, pitchfork, mix mag, abeano, the fader amongst others. his releases have also received significant club and radio plays including mainstream radio 1 support from admirers giles peterson and rob da bank, who has promised support for this release. four tet said the room went off when playing thinking too much at a recent event.

fresh out of melbournes reputed house scene, the tortoise is one of the hottest talents to emerge from the current wave of house breaking down under. a side the puffing tortoise captures the 21-year-olds precocious talent and aims it squarely at the peak time. working his trademark airy vocals around a familiar disco refrain and bubbling bass, he works the track into a sweaty climax and skilfully keeps it there throughout the midsection. turning in a late night chugger on their remix, berlin based canadians the mole and hreno ride an insistent pulse and insect like percussion. twisting the samples, they guide the track into a dark jungle of chattering sounds to temper the tortoise youthful exuberance. the analogue melancholy of keep on keepin on is all in the sweeping synths and twinkling effects. recoiling the tension, the chicago influenced track seeps through the speakers and will sound as good at home as it will during specially chosen dancefloor moments. rondenion approaches the title track with fearless disregard for the original, combining the swelling tortoise sound with something entirely his own. his addition of a funk fuelled midsection, really breaks the track down and adds another slice of character to an ep already brimming with it.

keeping up their ethos of dancefloor >edits with the love left in< hmd bounce back on a1 with monster from their 3rd compilation. never before released as a 12 inch and much in demand from djs who have heard it in hmd sets, its a whole horse meat disco original track laid out underneath the original vocal acapella. playable peak time or at the end of the night its as deep as disco gets! on b1 a majestic and imperial take on a classic one more time the hmders push the way too short original track and lengthen it into a luscious, euphoric anthem. hmd take all responsibility for end of the night spontaneous dancefloor hug-ins. on b2 the boys have taken the squelchy synths of a real underground track and turned up the intensity that they felt seem to disapated in the original. keeping the vocals pretty much as they are including all the whoops and yelps that make the track so exciting hmd have stayed true to the original but have just given it the horse meat touch. a bit of added percusion and a whole lotta love.

oh the things we do with plastic here at flapjack records. this next piece of flapjack plastic has so joyously been arranged by our good friend from the southwest, jeff service. first debuting his flavorful talents back on his first ep, >the trapper keeper ep<, mr. service more than earned himself a 20% tip. now he is back on during a primo dining shift to showcase his new maneuvers with his >you got served ep<.

the constant carousel like shift of unreleased tracks on his soundcloud and sporadic twitter sessions, south london ordnance relishes his clandestine, shady persona, keen to allow his craft to act as spokesman instead. following early support from electronic musics matriarch mary anne hobbs, a marauding mixtape for glasgows luckyme earlier this year and big support from mosca, hackman, dark sky and tessela, the amount of hype surrounding this south london (obviously) based beatsmith has been ridiculous. and we are very pleased to say this is his debut release, and a killer 12 inch to pop his recording cherry!

after a two-year break, detroit producer and wayward star-child jimmy edgar debuts on scubas hotflush recordings armed with an album full of futuristic sleaze. known for his unique take on jacking house and electro funk, he has recently been splitting his time between the us and berlin, exploring transcendental meditation and the boundaries of the non-physical. this offering is an extension of that journey, bringing eleven tracks of erotic robo-pop to the table. titled majenta, this lp is a departure from his past sound, marking a shift in his own ever-expanding consciousness, as well as another exciting chapter of his musical career. each track is an aural manifesto, giving well-deserved nods to his varied musical influences.

two tracks from tinis debut album tessa get a remix treatment by carl craig and pulshar. carl craig, a creative visionary, electronic music icon from detroit, founder of the seminal planet e label, exposes the essence of my shine and turns it to a serious peak time track. pulshar, desolats musical heavyweights and travellers between spacious songcraft and the futuristic outer-reaches of the dub techno, appear here with their remake of mine has a shower, a pure balearic bliss.

london based welshman chamboche returns to the label that launched him with the smoke screen ep. his unquantifiable sound swerves genre classification, hovering around house but with enough musicality to please the hardened disco head. swirling pads and a bubbling bass line set down the groove, while keys fall around horns and vocals to make the lead track a refined, uplifting work out. slowly unfolding, the track is hypnotic and absorbing, showcasing the style of a producer as able to work the mind as the hips. bicep toughen up the drums and work the arpeggio, stripping down the track and bringing the chicago influence higher in the mix. while the original subtly unfolds, their remix demands attention from the outset, building to a climax then recoiling for another bite at the cherry. thinking big, krl ramps up the intensity with a bright, kinetic reworking. aimed squarely at the peak time, he harnesses all of smoke screen’s most propulsive elements to really work the floor. tucked away on the b side is the expansive mind your mind. trademark chamboche percussion is woven around a blissful riff, swelling majestically to round off the ep in slo(w) burning euphoria.
